Spiritual Direction
I work with persons who long to understand and/or strengthen their relationship with God and mission. This includes individual's, parish leadership, groups and teams. Through well designed interactions, listening, reading, music, art, mindfulness and contemplation, we strengthen awareness of the Spirit and learn the ways to discern direction. My spiritual formation is based in Ignatian Spirituality. I have completed extensive training and I am qualified by the Pneuma Institute, http://www.PneumaInstitute.com, and the West Virginia Institute of Spirituality, http://www.wvis.org/ to provide general Spiritual Direction and to facilitate the 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises.
Some of the questions we often explore are:
- How might I come to know or expand my understanding of the creator as compassionate, and unconditional love?
- How might I come to know my mission and identity in the context of God's on-going creation?
- What are different ways of discerning the Spirit and using that guidance to make day to day and, even more, significant life decisions?
- How might I start or enhance reading and experiencing scripture?
- How do I act on my beliefs when family, friends, and/or co-workers may not believe or practice?
- How do I work through the changes we are experiencing with Church and church leadership?

My Own Journey
My own journey of understanding and seeking guidance from the Spirit creates deeper relationship with God, and provides peace and direction. I practice different ways to navigate the challenges of life, and work. As a senior business leader, owner of a business consulting and coaching practice, parent and spouse, working with a Spiritual Director reminds me of the unconditional love from God, encourages me to respond in love, and provides confidence, presence, and clarity of values in action. With God's grace, when I am my best, I am responding to a greater call. As a Spiritual Director, through God's grace, I create trust, empathy, respect, and understanding while providing Directees guidance, techniques and resources for growing in relationship with God. We meet one on one discovering your unique relationship and mission.
Interior Freedom
Through Spiritual Direction and particularly the Spiritual Exercises, individuals often find greater interior discipline and freedom to choose to follow the ways of Christ.
